Terrariums, moss, and the tools to keep them
Mossbell is a two-person studio in Delhi. We build closed terrariums — sealed glass gardens that water themselves — and we sell the parts to build your own: the vessel, the layers, the moss, and the four brass tools that make planting a narrow jar something other than a wrestling match.
Everything is put together by hand, in batches, usually on a Tuesday. The moss is cushion moss, sustainably harvested, and it arrives damp. The kits come with a card that tells you what order things go in, because the order matters more than anything else and nobody ever tells you that part.
